Another Loan move For Füllkrug
West Ham United announced earlier that striker Niclas Füllkrug has headed back to Germany and joined Werder Bremen on an initial loan deal.
The Hammers haven’t disclosed the length on their official website but, Sky Sports News seem to be indicating that it is until the end of the current campaign, with a view to then making it permanent either in January or next summer.
Füllkrug returned to Rush Green in July after an unsuccessful loan spell in Serie A with AC Milan in the second half of last season.
The German international will certainly hope that he fares better back in his homeland as he is set to be reunited with former Irons’ Technical Director Tim Steidten.
When Nuno Espírito Santo named his first matchday squad for the game at Everton back on 29 September, Füllkrug was briefly back in favour with the new boss but that didn’t last too long, as he had picked up yet another injury in training after returning from October’s international break.
There could be further movement in both directions in the next few days, as soon as anything is announced, this site will bring all the latest details to its readers.
