West Ham Summer Transfer Round-up 2026
After it was confirmed that both Łukasz Fabiański and Adama Traoré will leave the club when West Ham United published their retained list back on 10 June, the hierarchy have wasted no time in getting down to business and allowed goalkeeper Krisztián Hegyi to finally leave Stratford on a permanent basis and join Czech outfit Sparta Prague.
When Julen Lopetegui took over from David Moyes back in the summer of 2024, the Spaniard started reshaping his squad by signing former Swindon Town, Glasgow Rangers and Sheffield United goalkeeper Wes Foderingham, whilst allowing both Joseph Anang and Nathan Trott move on from East London whilst Hegyi remained with the Hammers.
The Hungarian youngster only returned home in January to complete another loan move to MTK Budapest FC until the end of the current campaign.
As far as incomings are concerned, the Hammers made two early moves by clinching a deal to bring 18-year-old Jett Murphy to the club on a two-year contract from Chelmsford City, whilst also taking up the option to make Keiber Lamadrid’s move to East London permanent.
Head-Coach Nuno Espírito Santo gave the green light for the club to go ahead and get both deals done, as they hope to put last season’s relegation behind them and look forward to what will hopefully be brighter times ahead.
Despite Lamadrid only being involved in a couple of first-team matchday squads in a campaign where the team battled against relegation but ultimately failed to maintain their Premier League status, the former Wolverhampton Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest boss was still keen to maintain his relationship with the former Deportivo La Guaira man after his initial loan deal had ended.
The club haven’t disclosed details of the duration of the Venezuelan youngster’s contract but, Espírito Santo may use him regularly next season, as the club look for an immediate return to the Premier League.
Moves for some of West Ham’s bigger names are expected to take place before the start of the 2026/27 season and any news of movement, as well as the new Sky Bet Championship fixture list will be available as soon as information is announced.
