Kandolin Appointed As Valero Replacement

Following the departure of Xavi Valero as Goalkeeping Coach at the end of last season, West Ham United have ended the search for his replacement today. Head-Coach Graham Potter has reunited himself with Linus Kandolin.

The two men worked together at Swedish club Östersunds FK between 2015 and 2018 and having appointed Kyle Macauley to the role of Technical Director back in February, Potter’s coaching staff now has a more familiar look to it.

With the team due back at Rush Green ahead of pre-season training on Monday, 34-year-old Kandolin will get straight to work with both Alphonse Areola and Wes Foderingham.

There has been speculation that Potter is looking for a new goalkeeper to join the ranks but as yet, the club have not identified names or indeed made a bid for a new face.

Although forward Daniel Cummings arrived in East London on Tuesday, Potter is yet to make a major signing this summer. However, as soon as a move is made, then this site will have the very latest news.
