Ankergren Joins Forces With Kandolin At Hammers
Just thirteen days ago, West Ham United appointed Linus Kandolin as their new first-team Goalkeeping Coach and today, Head-Coach Graham Potter has brought in another new face to oversee the Swedes’ work. Former Leeds United stopper Casper Ankergren has joined up with the Hammers from Danish side Brøndby IF.
Ankergren is no stranger to the rest of Potter’s coaching staff either, he was already in place when Potter replaced Chris Hughton.
Both Alphonse Areola and Wes Foderingham are the only two players in that position who are currently at the club but it is believed that Potter is on the lookout for more cover before the summer transfer window closes at the start of September.
You would expect the non-playing staff to be all cemented in their places now and it is time for the Irons to turn their attention to transfers, following the arrivals of both Daniel Cummings and El Hadji Malick Diouf. When more news is available, this site will have the latest news as always.
