Todibo Finalises Hammers Switch
New West Ham United Head-Coach Julen Lopetegui has completed his seventh signing of what was always predicted to be a busy summer transfer window for the club. French international Jean-Clair Todibo finally arrived in Stratford on Saturday.
Obviously, it was well-publicised that Lopetegui has been monitoring the player’s progress since he was officially presented to the media back on 1 July but attempts to finalise the deal were held up because of interest from Italian giants Juventus but now the 24-year-old defender has signed on an initial season long loan and the Hammers can then exercise a clause to buy him from OGC Nice for a fee of £34m.
Todibo becomes the second defender to be signed by Lopetegui this summer, following the capture of’ Max Kilman from his former club Wolverhampton Wanderers and the club’s newest recruit will hope to make his debut in Saturday’s Premier League opener at home to Aston Villa.
West Ham’s transfer dealings show no sign of slowing down. As soon as any more movement, both in and out of East London is confirmed, this site will provide the details.
