Summerville Arrives At West Ham
West Ham United only signed four players last summer under David Moyes. This time around, under new Head-Coach Julen Lopetegui, they have equalled that number and there is still plenty of time to go before the summer transfer window closes.
Four days short of a month after Max Kilman completed his move to East London, they have signed winger Crysencio Summerville from Leeds United on a five-year contract with the option of a further year.
Much like the deal that brought Kilman to Stratford in July, this transfer proved quick to complete, as news only emerged of West Ham’s interest on Wednesday and after he underwent a medical and personal terms were agreed, the deal was able to be finalised.
It was thought that Summerville would fly to Florida to meet up with his new teammates ahead of the match against fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace but as the move was only confirmed tonight, he will join up with the squad on their return and is likely to make his debut in the club’s final pre-season friendly at home to La Liga outfit RC Celta Vigo on Saturday afternoon.
It appears that the club’s summer activity is not finished there and further reinforcements are set to come through the arrivals door. If and when any news is confirmed, this site will provide the latest details.
