Mavropanos Gets Premier League Return
It’s been a busy month in Stratford and now, West Ham United have confirmed their third signing of the summer as Konstantinos Mavropanos has signed a five-year deal for a fee believed to be £19m.
The defender follows the arrivals of Edson Álvarez and James Ward-Prowse and comes to East London with previous Premier League experience under his belt, having spent two years with Arsenal.
The player was loaned to 1. FC Nürnberg and VfB Stuttgart during his time at The Emirates Stadium, before making the switch to VfB Stuttgart permanent in May 2022.
With Nayef Aguerd suspended for Saturday’s match at Brighton and Hove Albion, due to the two yellow cards he picked up at home to Chelsea, Mavropanos could go straight into the side and fill in for the Moroccan, although Thilo Kehrer is reportedly back in contention.
Yet more arrivals are being linked with moves to Stratford before the window closes on September 1. If and when further deals are finalised, then as always, this site will keep its readers up to date.
