Latest West Ham Summer Update

Not much has happened yet as far as incoming transfers are concerned at West Ham United but the club have confirmed that midfielder Manuel Lanzini will not be renewing his contract and will leave after eight seasons with the Hammers.

Manager David Moyes has gone on record as saying he can’t guarantee the Argentine regular first-team football but is disappointed to be losing such an influential player.

Whilst Lanzini is currently the only first-team player to have left Stratford, a number of the club’s youngsters will also be ending their time with the Irons, as Ademipo Odubeko, Armstrong Oko-Flex, Brian Kinnear and Asher Falase are the other four players to have been released by the East London club, while young goalkeeper Nathan Trott has signed on loan for a second season at Danish club Vejle BK.

On June 15, it was announced that Moyes would be searching for another First-Team Coach to replace Mark Warburton and while they are still in the process of finding the right appointment, the club have decided to appoint a new Technical Director to work alongside Moyes, as well as Sporting Director Mark Noble. The man who will be filling this role is German Tim Steidten, having previously held this position at Bayer 04 Leverkusen and SV Werder Bremen.

With the summer transfer window closing on September 1, news of both incoming and outgoing players will be confirmed on this site as soon as news is available, as well as an update on a new First-Team Coach.
