Silva Makes Forest Switch

Before Tuesday night’s transfer deadline, it was confirmed that another player had exited West Ham United.

Following Connor Coventry’s loan to Sky Bet Championship outfit Peterborough United, Xande Silva was the next to leave, as he secured a permanent move to Nottingham Forest.

The young striker was brought to the club by former boss Manuel Pellegrini in the summer of 2018 but his first-team opportunities were very limited, as he was only named in a starting line-up on two occasions, the last of which was in an FA Cup third round tie at home to Birmingham City in January 2019.

Silva becomes the latest of many youngsters to have ended his stay in Stratford this summer, as a number of the Development Squad players were released by current manager David Moyes when the window first opened in June.
