Irons Confirm Keeper Replacement
Following the recent departures of Development Squad goalkeepers Joseph Anang and Nathan Trott over the last month, West Ham United have today confirmed the arrival of a replacement, as 20-year-old Scotland stopper Brian Kinnear has joined the club on a one-year contract.
After a successful trial in East London, the former Rangers man featured in last Friday’s 2-2 draw at home to National League side Aldershot Town.
The Scotsman becomes the fourth youngster to move to Stratford this summer after the captures of Thierry Nevers, Pierre Ekwah Elimby and Armstrong Oko-Flex.
It appears very unlikely that Kinnear will make a first-team appearance though, as David Moyes already has Łukasz Fabiański, Darren Randolph, David Martin and new loan signing Alphonse Areola at his disposal for the forthcoming campaign.
The club are apparently still looking for further options in order to bolster their squad. If and when any news emerges, this site will provide the details.
