Coventry secures Posh Move
It has been a very quiet transfer window so far but with the deadline at 11pm tonight, deals have been happening both in and out of West Ham United today.
The latest sees Connor Coventry join Sky Bet Championship side Peterborough United on a loan deal for the rest of the current season. West Ham have negotiated a break clause in the contract should they decide to recall the youngster in January.
The player featured as a substitute in many of West Ham’s pre-season friendlies and had been named as part of David Moyes’ matchday squad for all three of their Premier League encounters to date.
21-year-old Coventry is one of a number of players who have been sent out on loan this summer with the list also including Ademipo Odubeko, who has headed for a loan spell at fellow Championship club Huddersfield Town.
Coventry should already be familiar with Football League clubs, as he spent a period on loan with Sky Bet League One outfit Lincoln City during the 2019/20 season.
