Aston Villa Match Preview
West Ham United have so far been unbeaten in November and when Aston Villa visit Stratford tonight, the question will be can they end the month on a high and claim a third victory in a row?
These two sides couldn’t be separated last season, as both meetings ended in draws but with the Villains only two places above their opponents in the Premier League table, the Irons will be keen to add another three points to their tally.
Whilst the Hammers are on a good run of form themselves, Villa come to East London unbeaten on the road this campaign and are yet to even concede a goal. David Moyes will certainly hope to change that particular statistic.
On the other hand, Dean Smith’s side will be looking to bounce back after their 2-1 home defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion nine days ago.
Michail Antonio has been back in training for a few weeks now after suffering a hamstring injury in the 1-1 home draw with Manchester City back on 24 October and he will be assessed before the game. If he is passed fit enough to play, then Moyes will have to decide whether to employ him as a lone striker or have a front pairing with last week’s goalscorer Sébastien Haller. Saïd Benrahma will also hope to be involved again.
Tonight’s match kicks off at 8pm with live coverage being screened by Sky Sports from 7:30pm. The referee is Peter Banks.
