Diangana Makes Baggies Move Permanent

It was confirmed late on Friday night that West Ham United winger Grady Diangana has left the club to join newly-promoted West Bromwich Albion on a five-year deal for an undisclosed fee believed to be around £18m.

The player will rejoin Slaven Bilic’s side, having spent the majority of last season on loan at The Hawthorns and after completing a medical and agreeing personal terms on Friday, Bilic has finally got his man.

It became apparent on Thursday that both Aston Villa and another of the newly-promoted clubs Fulham were showing interest but having already been set for a medical in the Midlands, the 22-year-old was determined to finalise the deal.

The Academy graduate made twenty one first-team appearances for the Hammers after making a scoring debut in a 8-0 Carabao Cup triumph over Sky Bet League Two outfit Macclesfield Town back in September 2018, before making his first Premier League appearance against Manchester United three days later.

Diangana will be reunited with the East Londoners, who reluctantly sold him to the Baggies, when he makes a return to Stratford on January 12.
